# Team roles explained

> What each role can see and do in StoreTalk.

Every team member has a role that controls which parts of StoreTalk they can access. There are four roles: **Owner**, **Admin**, **Manager**, and **Agent**.

## Role overview

| Role    | Who it is for                                  | What they can access                                                  |
| ------- | ---------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Owner   | The business owner — one per account           | Everything, including billing, WhatsApp settings, and team management |
| Admin   | A trusted manager or operations lead           | Everything except billing and WhatsApp number settings                |
| Manager | A team lead who handles customers and pipeline | Inbox, Contacts, Segments, and Pipeline — no templates or campaigns   |
| Agent   | A customer support or sales executive          | Inbox, Dashboard, and Help only                                       |

  Start new hires as Agent and promote them to Manager or Admin as they get familiar with the platform.

<Warning>
  Only the Owner can change WhatsApp settings, manage billing, or invite Admins. There can only be one Owner per account.
