A Campaign lets you send one WhatsApp message to a whole group of customers at the same time. This is perfect for offers, announcements, restock alerts, and event invites.

Create a campaign step by step

1

Go to Campaigns

Click Campaigns in the left menu and click New Campaign.
2

Name your campaign

Give it an internal name (e.g. “Diwali Sale 2024”) — customers never see this.
3

Choose a template

Select a pre-approved WhatsApp message template.
4

Choose your audience

Pick a Segment (e.g. “All Wholesale Customers”).
5

Send or schedule

Click Send Now to send immediately, or set a future date and time.
6

Confirm

StoreTalk queues and sends all messages for you.
You can only send campaigns using pre-approved WhatsApp templates. You cannot send a free-text blast. This is a Meta rule to prevent spam — all businesses must follow it.
Not sure which template to use? Go to Settings → Templates to see all your approved templates. If you need a new one, create it and submit for approval first.

Campaign best practices

Do

  • Send for genuine reasons: offers, order updates, reminders
  • Only message contacts who have interacted with your business
  • Use your brand name so customers recognise you
  • Personalise with the customer’s name using template variables

Don't

  • Send unsolicited messages to cold numbers — accounts get banned
  • Send the same campaign to the same people multiple times in a week
  • Use misleading template text just to get approval
  • Send to opted-out contacts (StoreTalk blocks this automatically)
