How contacts are created
When a new message arrives, StoreTalk checks whether that phone number is already saved:- New number — StoreTalk creates a new contact automatically.
- Existing number — StoreTalk updates their name if it has changed.
What you can do with contacts
Search
Find any customer by name or phone number instantly.
Tag customers
Add tags like “VIP”, “Wholesale”, or “Mumbai” to organise your list.
Write private notes
Add notes only your team can see — context that never reaches the customer.
Manage opt-outs
Mark a contact as opted out so they stop receiving campaigns.
Import a list
Upload your existing customer list from Excel or CSV.
Add manually
Create a contact for a customer who hasn’t messaged you yet.
