You can put StoreTalk on a fixed touch screen in your venue without the full owner dashboard and without logging in each time. Each screen is locked to one job, stays signed in across reboots, and is revocable if a device is ever lost.

The four screens

Kitchen display

The KDS — station tickets with timers and Start / Ready / Served bump buttons. Mount it in the kitchen.

Floor / host

The floor board — tables, running tabs, and Close tab / Clear table. For the host stand.

Counter (Orders)

The orders board — incoming orders to mark ready / collected. For a takeaway counter.

Customer self-order

The storefront in kiosk mode — a guest browses, orders and pays, then it resets for the next person. For a lobby or queue-buster tablet.

Setting one up

1

Open Screens

In the dashboard, go to the Screens tab. Each screen shows a QR code and a Copy link button.
2

Open it on the device

On the kitchen / floor / counter touch screen, scan the QR code (or paste the copied link). The screen opens straight into that one view.
3

Leave it running

The screen stays signed in — even after a reboot — and shows only that station. A line cook can’t wander into your menu, pricing or reports.

Security

  • Scoped — a kitchen screen can only reach the kitchen display, a floor screen only the floor board, and so on. Nothing else is reachable from a station screen.
  • Revocable — if a screen is lost or replaced, tap Regenerate staff links in Screens. Every issued staff link stops working instantly and you get fresh ones to set up again.
  • Customer kiosk is public — the self-order link needs no login (it’s just your menu). It loops: menu → pay by card → a “Thank you” screen with the order number → resets for the next guest.
Best practice: open each staff link on the actual device it’s for, and keep the owner dashboard on your own computer. A station screen never carries anything beyond its job.
